Happy Valentine's Day!! Today Didi is 30 days old.And according to Chinese customs, Mom could go out,too. In the morning, Mom took some pictures for him just like what they did for me when I was that age. Didi worn Mom's baby outfit and Chinese Doudou. I also tried to hold me, but maybe he is too excited, he even wanted to eat my ear!!

Today I am 19-month-old. Even only one month older, I became much more mature. This afternoon, while Laolao was holding didi at downstair, who spit up, she didn't have the burpcloth with her, so Laolao and Mama asked me to go upstair to find a burpcloth for didi. They wanted to test me. I did go upstair and brought the right thing down. They were all very happy and impressed by my understanding and willingness to be a helper..

Last night while I was playing at Laolao and Laoye's room, oh, in fact, while I was running, I found there was another me on the wall who was following me. When I ran faster, she did too. The forward I ran, she followed me forward. I was so surprised while I saw her following me. Once, I even used my hand to pat her, trying to stop her following me. This made my Laolao and Laoye laughed a lot. Later, I sort of realized that it was the shadow of me on the wall.

Here are some cute pictures of my didi! Generally speaking, he is an easy baby like me,haha..These days, he eats every three or three and half hours, then he will go to sleep, especially at day time. It will take him longer time to fall in sleep at night. But as Mom said, he is ok these nights,too. One thing that makes mom worried is didi is slow to burp or hold his burp, then he will spit up. And he is very easily satisfied---once he gets some milk, he will fall in sleep in mom's arms. It's hard to wake him up. haha.. He is a strong boy, especially his neck. Right now he likes looking around and some time, his eyes even follow your fingers moving around. He also likes looking at the light, especially the ceilling fans. Laolao said I liked looking at the fans,too when I was his age.

At the end of the program "Barnny and friends", there are several short questions like "what I can do;what I love;what sounds I can make and so on" I enjoy watching how those children answered the questions. The following is some of what I can do.
1.move a stool to stand on in order to see my didi
2.find a phone book to make a phone call
3.help Mom to clean the mirror
4.show didi how to play in the gym

Feb.5 is my Dad's birthday. We are happy that didi will join us to celebrate Dad's birthday this year. Certainly, with Laolao and Laoye here, it is very meaningful,too.
My Mom tried to bake a birthday cake and make icing after asking for help from Nainai, but she still needed to improve the details for the cake and icing. haha.. she did cook Dad's hometown food for him.

Feb.7 will be the Chinese New Year. From yesterday, Chinese at Lubbock has started celebrating the traditional festival through different activities. Last night, there was a Chinese New Year Party at Chinese Church. As Laolao and Laoye told my mom,I was very very active. I sang and danced with those who were proferming at the church. I also got a "hongbao"--red envelop with money inside.
Didi and I also got "hongbao"from Laolao and laoye. It's Chinese custom to get hongbao from the elder generation during Spring Festival!

Last night I took Laoye and Laolao to see my didi again. This time Mom let me "hold" him. You can see the picture. Also we got a celebration dinner from the hospital. I celebrated with some tasty french fries, tomatoes, and cucumber. I hope Didi and Mom can come home today!
