This week is spring break. So our family went to visit Mom's friend in Temple of Texas. This is Didi's first long trip after he was born. At the beginning we were all concerned whether he would be well-behaved. It turned out ok. He slept most of the trip and he was happy to meet friends and see everything. Certainly I also enjoyed the trip very much.
We also went to Austin for a short visit. We mainly went to visit the capital building.
At Ayi's house, there are a lot of animals--5 horses,4cats,one dog and 20 around chickens. They have a very beautiful scenary. The air is very fresh,too. It's a villa-style life. We love it. Certainly we love the people most.

One day while we were driving, Mom,Laolao and Laoye heard me murmuring at the back seat,"meiyou shou, shou, meiyou" (no hands).They were all surprised at what I talked about. Then my Laolao found out that I was looking for my hand because one hand was stucked in my jacket's sleeve.
These days, I could express myself more clear with my vocabulary's increase and my tones' improvement. One dinner, we had potato and tofu. In Chinese, "tudou" is potato and "doufu"is tofu. I like both of them. Each time it was hard for me to tell exactly which one I wanted. Mom tried to help me to distinguish them,saying,"this is tudou, this is doufu,doufu is white." Then I said,"baidou". So "baidou" is my word for tofu.
Didi is two months old. He grows so fast. He has grown out of several sets of outfits. He recognizes my Mom and Laolao. Once he saw them, he was very eager to talk. This week, he realizes that he has two pretty hands. So he often hold up his hand and look at it. Certainly, sometime when he is hungry, he will eat them and make lound noise, it seems that his hands are very tasty.

I am 20 months old. This week, my family watched my DVDs they made since I was born. It's so fun to watch how I grew up....
My parents' comment is that Elsa seems too young, not like the current one who is more mature and coordinate.haha.. Right now,I am very independent and a great helper,too.
Every time when Mom and Dad plans to go out, once they ask "shui qu a?(who will go out?)" It is always me who response first,"qi qu"(I go.)Then immediately, I will go to look for my shoes, jecket,and my diaperbag. After I get myself ready, I will go to help the others---didi, Laolao and Laoye. For example, I will check whether didi has hat,Pacifier and blanket. I will go to get Laolao and Laoye clothes and shoes.

March 8 is the International Women's Day, but as I know not every country celebrate it. In China, they do. So Dad still remembers this special day. Today he invited Mom to watch a movie. BUT they left me with my Laolao and Laoye. In order not to trouble laolao and Laoye too much, my parents took didi with them. Thus, it is also the first movie they went after didi was born. Certainly it is Hugh's first movie,too. The movie is "Be kind rewind". They enjoyed it. Hugh behaved very well,too as they said.
At home, I didn't take nap as usual after I found out that they left. So my Laolao and Laoye had to take care of me for the whole time.
Later, Dad took Laolao and Laoye to IHOPfor a special dinner. They liked it very much,too.

This morning, Mom took me to Godeke Library, where there is a reading time. When I arrived, a lot of children have been there and the grandma has started reading a story. I sat next to Nana, who is my friend and from her mom we know that there is the reading time here. It's interesting to see how the grandma reads the book with action. I was quiet for most of time, listening and observing.When they all came to the front and did some actions, I joined them,too, but I couldn't follow them because I didn't know the words the grandma said. At the end, I did give the grandma a big hug,showing my appreciation. Then Mom took me into the chilren area in the library, I didn't read too much, but I enjoyed taking the books off the shelf. Mom said next Wednesday we would go again. I hope that I could follow what the grandma reads and does then!

Happy Valentine's Day!! Today Didi is 30 days old.And according to Chinese customs, Mom could go out,too. In the morning, Mom took some pictures for him just like what they did for me when I was that age. Didi worn Mom's baby outfit and Chinese Doudou. I also tried to hold me, but maybe he is too excited, he even wanted to eat my ear!!

Today I am 19-month-old. Even only one month older, I became much more mature. This afternoon, while Laolao was holding didi at downstair, who spit up, she didn't have the burpcloth with her, so Laolao and Mama asked me to go upstair to find a burpcloth for didi. They wanted to test me. I did go upstair and brought the right thing down. They were all very happy and impressed by my understanding and willingness to be a helper..

Last night while I was playing at Laolao and Laoye's room, oh, in fact, while I was running, I found there was another me on the wall who was following me. When I ran faster, she did too. The forward I ran, she followed me forward. I was so surprised while I saw her following me. Once, I even used my hand to pat her, trying to stop her following me. This made my Laolao and Laoye laughed a lot. Later, I sort of realized that it was the shadow of me on the wall.
