it's fun to be the in the water even though I was not so enthusiastic to blow the bubble, go under the water and jump into the water. But I did like chasing the toy floating on the water. At the beginning, there were 8 children, and today only 3 were there. At least, I can be ranked as No.3. That is not bad, isn't it?
The swimming class did bring me a lot of good parts---eating and sleeping well. It's good exercise. But the bad thing is that the weather of these two weeks was not so good---cloudy, rainy. This caused me to have cold and running nose.

Didi is 6 months old. We really enjoy spending time with him this half year. He is fun guy to play with, especially now because he is more interactive. He even starts to "fight" with me for the toy.haha.. Certainly, most of time, it is me who starts.
Didi could sit up pretty good and he also turned over several times. Mom has been giving him food besides breast milk. He is doing good so far. I am looking forward to seeing him crawling, walking, then we two could have more fun. haha..not long...

Today is my two years old birthday. We had a big and busy day.My parents planned to cookout at a park where they went right before I was born. But the wether was not so good in the morning, so we had to cook at a park near our house and we went to the lakeside park later in the afternoon. I enjoyed walking around the lake. Since they mentioned that they would take me to a park. Even though I was there, I still said no park because there was no slide, no swing and so on. Tonight, I opened my birthday cards, gifts and had my birthday cake. Dad bought several beautiful and meaningful things to decorate the room. It is fun.
Since it is my birthday, they kept asking me "how old are you?" in chinese. I know how to answer in Chinese--"liang sui". This evening Carolyn came to give me birthday gift and asked me in English. Unfornately I didn't understand what "how old are you" meant, so I didn't know how to answer. Later, Mom taught me the meaning of "how old are you?" and how to answer---"two years old". Haha..later, most of time, I will answer, "Two ..Old". Thus, the conversation became: "Elsa, how old are you?" "Two Old."
This morning, "Signing Time" program is "happy birthday to you!" So my signing vocabulary increased too. It is a great "situation"/"topic" teaching method. haha...

In order to celebrate my two years old birthday, this morning, my parents started taking "artistic" photoes for me.hahaha...I was curious of what they wanted me to do. Certainly I tried my best to cooperate with them. It's too hot and the camera also ran out of bettery, they will do more later, I guess.
The goose was designed and made by Laoye. It more looks like 2.
Dad took a lot of pictures. He is "xinku"le (hard work). In fact, I am "xinku",too. haha..

From today on, we will take a swimming class for two weeks. The real swimming will be only 25 minutes. Today, the coach taught three or four steps--floating on stomach or back, blowing bubble and immerging in. I didn't do the immerging head in one. In general, it is good. I enjoy playing with the little toy he gave. At least, I didn't cry. There were a lot of people,especially different levels for children. I don't know how well I will learn, but I enjoy spending time with Mom and the others, so does Mom.
PS: as Mom said, she felt very tired after we came back because she held me the whole time in the water. Thus, it will a good exercise for her,too.
PS2: Today Didi fianlly officially turned over by himself. They saw him turning over three times. We have to keep eyes on him for his safety!!!

This July 4th is the most meaningful one for our family because I, Elsa Tate, really had a lot of fun fun....
The activities of the whole day can be divided into three parts: watching the parade,go bouncing and watching the firework.
This year we stayed at the campus to watch the parade. I enjoyed watching it. One pitty thing was that I didn't catch any candy.Several big boys were around me, or I could get one. sigh...
Right after the parade, we went to the FBC,where on the parking lot there were all kinds of activities. According to last year's experience, my parents took us directly to the bouncers area. As they said, I went one last year, but I couldn't stand up. So it was not so fun. This year I went in three bouncers. I did much better than last year, but I still couldn't jump so high and freely as the other bigger kids. One excited thing is that I climbed the "water mountain", I called it "tiao shui"--jumping into the water. First, you need climb some slippery "stairs", then you slide down,at the bottom, there is a water ditch. As we observed, I was the youngest one who dared to climb and slided down. I wanted to do it because it looked like a TV program called "Ao Yun xiang qian cong" at Hunan TV.Dad didn't take too many pictures of this part, but he did vedio that part.
This year, both Didi and me were taken a face paiting. I chose a fish for myself and an ice cream for Didi, but I didn't keep mine too long before I wiped it off. and finally that girl drew a star for Didi because it was easy.
I took a train ride. This is the first time I took a train.(Besides the train between airports.) haha... This is also the only activity we paid. It is fun.
In the afternoon, we all took a nap in order to get enough energy for watching the firework at night.
We went to the park early, so I ran around a lot there. Certainly it is a place for me to practice some activities I watched from the TV program. This really wore Dad out . Soory for that...
We waited for a long time for the firework, both Didi and me were sleepy. Then we decided to leave. Luckily right after I got on the big road, the firework started. So Dad stopped at the side of the road, there we all saw the nice firework, even Didi enjoyed it. When we arrived home, it was 11:30pm. It was really a long time, but it was a great fun....

There are variety activities during the summer at different libraries. I went to one animal show. It's nice to feed those cute animals. In fact, I pat a turtle and a snake,too.I also enjoyed blowing the bubbles. It's nice to experience different things.
Didi wore the watermellon outfit I wore last year. Look, who looks more like watermellon. haha..
This tree is the one that Laolao saved this year. Since we move to this house, I haven't seen its blooming. But this year with Laolao's hard working---watering, it bloomed. I don't think my parents will get rid of it as they planned before. haha..

In our backyard, Laolao & Laolao grew several kinds of vegetables and mellons. The Chinese cabage is very prosperous this year. From sping till now, they keep eating the cabage. The green beans and tomatoes are not so good as they expected. The plants look very good, but there are not so many beans and tomatos. They all are very happy with the cucumbers. They really look like Chinese ones, especially they got one giant cucumber. It looks so good. You can tell from the picture. Both didi and I are surprised by the huge thing. Didi's expression can tell you how surprise he was when he saw the cucumber.

Since I joined the summer reading program, I have read 40 books (in fact, it is Mom or Dad who read those for me). I have several favourite ones.
"I am invited to a party"---- a little pig and an elephant. They are good friends. The pig got an invitation. He invited his friend, the elephant, to go with him. The elephant gave a lot of suggestions about the clothes they should wear.
"Pedro's burro"-- a boy and his dad went to buy a burro (donkey). The burro says "hee haw"
"Biscuit visit the big city"--- I like the dog says "woof,woof"
"peek--a Thai hide-seek"--- I could find out where the little girl is hiding.
" Turtle and snake's halloween party"---I could tell which one is snake and which one is turtle even they wears the funny costumes.
I like the story time. I hope that I will win at the end of the program. haha..
BTW: till today, I have won 28 stickers, which means that I have gone to pee pee or poo poo 28 times by myself. hahha.. it is not far from the final success!! Every time, I count the stickers, so I can count till 10 both in English and Chinese. One stone two birds.

Today, I made a great progress for the Potty-training. Before nap at noon, we went to both No.1 and No.2, thus I ate two "jiangli" and put on two "Dora" stickers. This afternoon and this evening, I also got three successes. So totally, I have put on 12 stickers. Yeah!!!
This evening when we went to Walmart. Mom showed me the underwear with the pattern of Dora. She said when I completely do all on my own, she will buy those pretty underwears for me. If so, how can I pee or poo on "Dora"? I like "her" very much.
anyway, cheerful for myself!!
