Some are the ones we took when Didi was 7 months old. Some are the ones that we took when Dad wore the gown for his students' graduation. One is with Maomao. Right now Didi can chase Maomao around. It seems that the day was just yesterday when Maomao came to our home, I chased hime around and grabed his tail. haha..

The last two Saturdays, we were quite busy but we had a wonderful time. We went to a zoo in Abilene at Labour Day weekend and went to an orchard with Chinese Church to pick up apples. The trips are very meaningful to us.
Last year, my parents and I went to a zoo when we were in Austrilia, but then I didn't have too much memory, yet, so it was not too real and interactive to me. But this trip, it was quite different, I could really connect the animals from the pictures with the ones in the real life. Even though this zoo is much much smaller than the OZ one, I still enjoyed very much, especially I made friends with other visitors while we walked around. I could show them how to sigh the crocodiles and the other animals, trying to practice my sign language and English, too, certainly, if I still couldn't make them understood, I would use my Chinese. hahaha...
Picking-up apples from the trees were really fun. There were so many many apples on the trees, even there were a lot and a lot apples on the ground. We picked the ones that looked ripe and tasted. We also bought a lot. I enjoyed being taken pictures while I was sitting in the tree.
Oh, in fact, we also went to a Winery nearby. We all expected to see more grapes or even have a chance to pick up grapes, but it turned out that they just had a very small grape filed, they mostly bought grapes. But we, in fact, just my parents and Laoye, not Laolao, didi and I, did taste the wines. They bought two bottles they thought good.

Not long ago, we said didi started butting.haha.. yesterday while Laolao put him on his tomarch, he started crawling in a very perfect position. In the morning, he can only crawl two or three steps, but in the evening when Dad was home, he already could crawl pretty far. it is so amazing.
I am very excited to see Didi's teeth, now he can crawl. Isn't it wonderful.
The past Sunday, Mom and Dad put Didi in his sunday school, too. The teachers said he was doing well at the beginning, but at the time when we went to pick him up, he was fussy. He even cried a lot when we walked back to our car.
I was also promoted to a new classroom. The teachers were new, too. I behaved ok.
oh, tonight, Mom will take a class at Tech and I will go to AWANA program at FBC. We hope that Didi will behave well. It will be a long evening for him, and Laolao, laoye, too.

Today while I was playing with my figure toy--a Dad toy, I found that the paint of the shoes went off.So I mummered," the shoes were worn out, they need to see the doctor." (xie huai le ,kan yisheng.)
Mom and Laolao both laughed, wondering whether there are such doctor in our small town.

The people who know me all know that I have two friends with me when I need to sleep. One is a stuffed cow and one is a pacifier (paci in my own word.)
It is so nice and easy for me to go to sleep by myself with their accompany. Since I was six months old, I slept in my own room by myself. Every day my sleeping routine is holding my cow and chewing my paci, saying byebye to mom/dad, then I fell in sleep by myself.
As I grow older and older, Mom thought it is not good idea to have a paci,so she tried to help me quit. But it is so difficult for me to quit. How can you desert a friend who is with you for two years?
Unfortunately, one day I lost my paci. I knew I had it with my cow not long before I took nap. But when it was my nap time, I just couldn't find it. We searched "Everywhere", we just couldn't find it. Sigh... so since then, I had to sleep with my only dear friend---the cow. It is hard for me to fall in sleep without a paci in mouth, especially at night. But one thing is really helping me not to think about the paci---I recite all those songs or children rhythm in bed. Then little by little, I just fell in sleep.
PS: three or four days later, I,myself, did find the paci--it was just under my booster. But Mom showed me that there was a hole in the paci and she also said the ants might have used my paci, so we had to toss it into the trash can.
Bye my dear friend.....

As our family "tradition" (haha..), we took a picture for Didi with a toy pig.
Didi becomes very active now. He is practicing "crawling"---siting on his butt and moving. We call it--butting. haha.. He moves pretty quick. When he is on his stomach, he wants to crawl, but he just backs up.
oh, he has two little teeth. Right now I couldn't say "didi meiyou ya" as an excuse (didi has no teeth) when I don't want to share my food with him.
He also babbles a lot, such as mama. nainai and the other clear words. Laolao kept commenting didi would talk earlier than me.
oh, most mornings, Didi wakes up earlier than me.So he comes to my room to wake me up. it is cute to see him smiling at me while I open my eyes.

Automn is coming--we did hearvest some fruits from our garden. Laolao and Laoye did a great job. In our yard, they grew honey dew, Chinese melon, tomatoes and peaches. They are all very delicious.
As to me, it did take a while for me to distinguish "you4" and "hai2"----"again" and "still". For example, if I fall down AGAIN, I will say "hai2 shuai1le!" If I want to tell mom my fingure is STILL hurt, I will say "shou3 you4 teng2le". Sometimes it makes sense without specific context. With Mom's help, right now I could use it very good.
It's interesting to discover the mystery of languages.

Yesterday at Sunday school at church, when the teacher wanted to change diaper for me, I signed her that I wanted to go potty myself. I did. She was really impressed by what I have done in the whole process, peeing, wiping, flushing and washing my hands. haha.. These days, I did these quite often. Mom already bought me the panties with the piture of Dora. Mom warned me not to pee on Dora since I love her so much. So far, I haven't yet. hahaha...

As Mom noticed, I often use "I/me (wo) and you (ni) " in a funny way. For example, I often answers with ," wo (me) welcome!" when people say "Thank you" to me. When mom says we will go to the United ( a supermarket), I always repeat by saying "wo nited".
And sometimes when I need help, I will say "mama, bang wo,ni (Mom, help me, you). And I also say "Mom, bao ni." (what I really want to say is: Mom, hold me."
anyway, these really confused Mom-- do I really know what"I/me and you" refer to?
