Dec.29, My Dad's best friend Scott and his wife visted us, who were on the way to Colorado to visit his parents. I really liked spending time with them. She is pregnant,too. And it is said that they will be twins. It's great news! My parents are very happy for them!
Dec.31, in the afternoon, my mom took us to visit her friend Carolyn. She gave me a book called Goodnight Moon, which is interesting. Carolyn made some tea for them. I wanted to try some,too. But it was hot. I like the tea's color because it looked like some kind of juice. Afte a little while, I went to my Diaper Bag and found an empty bottle, so I urged Mom to pour some into the bottle. haha... It was not so good as I imagined. But I did drink some of the tea with my fomular bottle as the same time, which made them feel very funny!
We had hot pot at night. My parents haven't had the hotpot for a year. They seemed enjoying it.

Merry Christmas!!
This Christmas is fun for my parents and me, even my Laolao and Laoye,too. It is more interactive because of my participation!
The day before Christmas Eve, we started decorating the Christmas tree and putting on the lights along the windows. We went to IHOP for breakfast on Christmas Eve. That is my family's tradition--eating at IHOP on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Eve. During the daytime, we went to the mall, where we played around while Dad went to buy gifts for us. haha... We went to attend the Christmas Eve Service at Church. Certainly, I couldn't stay for the whole time, then Dad took me out and I ran around in the hall. We were not the only one. There were other Dads with their children,too.
After we came back, we took pictures beside our Christmas tree, then my parents started hanging the stuckings.
This morning, my Mom cooked the breakfast that we like most with biscuit,bacon,fried eggs and fruits.
The most fun time was to open gifts this morning. Certaintly it was me who started finding the gifts. I got a lot of nice stuff. Like my Dad said, I hit the jackpot! I really appreciate those who gave me the gifts. They are so nice and generous! My parents also got the gifts they liked,too.
This evening, we invited Mom's friend and her son to have dinner together. I enjoyed playing with that gege, but he didn't like me touching him because I am a girl. haha...
In a word, we whole family had a wondeful Christmas this year. We really enjoy the special day! I hope that we will have more fun next year with my didi's participation!!

This year, my parents' strategy for buying Christmas tree failed. Even though they waited till today, there was still no discount.Oh, in fact, Lowe's did have discount, but it was earlier than last year, so they missed. Friday when they went to Lowe's, there was no any Christmas tree left. haha.. so today, they had to buy a fraser fur from Homedepot.
It's fun to put on the lights and ornaments on the tree. Last year, I had no idea about it. My parents put on those things while I was sleeping. But this year, I was one helper who helped a lot in good and bad way. haha...Certainly, this year, my Laolao and Laoye also joined us. It is fun, fun, fun...
The ornament I got this year is a Chinese girl and a Chinese Style house. I did put on the Ornament I got last year by my self. It is a snowman, saying baby's first Christmas.
This year, I also enjoy driving around differnt neighbourhood with my family to see the Christmas lights. The cheerful way for me to express my impression on the lights is to say "wu,wu,wu.."

These days when we went up stairs or down stairs, my mom or laolao counted, like 1, 2, 3, 4...so gradually, I could follow their counting. So righ now when I count, I start from 7 till 9. If Laolao count from one, I can count the next number.
I also can play the game ---scissor,paper and stone with Dad. Certainly, right now what I can say is Paper (bu4 in Chinese). I know that I am a bao3bei4 and I can say it very clearly. I am learning to call my brother "jiujiu". What I most like to say is shua1ya2 (brush teeth.) I do try to brush my teeth every night before I go to bed.
There are a lot of other words, I could immitate when they say, but later I couldn't connet with their real meaning. haha.. Language is a miracle....

Last night, my parents' Sunday School gave them a baby shower for my didi. It's nice to see how people treat my family so generously. My didi did get a lot of nice stuff. I really enjoyed the time there---I ran around a lot,which really worn my laolao and laoye completely out. Maybe the shower helped me to know that I would be a big sister, so I was extremely active and able. At last, they had to find a simple leash for me. Even today when we went to the mall, they used one for me too. It did work out some for them. So far, I enjoyed it. haha..

My Laoye built a new bathroom for Maomao. Before he just used our sunroom as his bedroom, livingroom,dinningroom and bathroom. So the envirnment is not so good. It's too smelly for my Mom. With my Laoye's remodeling, Maomao has a better envirment with seperate bathroom. He is happy and excited.

Today I am 17 months old. Mom went to Baby Center and cheked the development for 17 months old babies. One thing they mentioned is climbing.
As to climbing, I am a real climber, like Dad as my Nainai said. I have started climbing the stairs when I was about 8 months old. As the beginning, I was very careful. As I am growing, my skill is improved greatly. Right now, I can slide down the stairs extremly quick and ease. Generally, no matter when I climb up or down, I will hold something in hand, like my stuff animals, books, clothes orsometimes, I even like pulling my booster seat or push cars while I am climbing up. So far, I could climb on all the sofas, couches or coffee tables by myself or by using other "tools" at my house.
My favorite fruits is clementine, every time, I must eat two. Sometimes when mom doesn't want to give me, I will find a stool or push car to step on to reach the clementines myself.
My language develops quicker these days. So far, my Chinese is still much better than my English, but I have no problem when I go to PDO or Sunday school even they all speak English. I am sure my Chinese will be much better after my Laolao and Laoye came. I did learn several words of sign language from the DVD of Baby Einstain. I know "table","chair","cup" "bear',"blanket", "dog","cat","book","bowl","ball","clock","bed" and so on. Certainly, I also like imitate different animals' sound,like dog, cow, monkey, lion... With language's development, I could communicate with them much better than before. It's much easier for me to follow their instruction and give them order,too. haha...

After my Laolao and Laoye came, there were a lot of fun!Life becomes much easier for us, especially for Mom.
She went to a babyshower and a brunch on Friday and Saturday without taking me. I had a good time with Laolao and Laoye and Baba.
Sat. Baba took me to a store to take a picture with Curious George even though I was not so familiar with him yet.haha...
My parents also tried to take a lot of pictures for the Christmas cards that they planned to send to friends. Sometimes, I cooperated very well with them.
The most exciting thing is today I got a piano--given by the pastor from Chinese Church. Haha.. I have my own piano. I love playing piano, you all know that?haha..

After they left one year, my Laolao and Laoye will arrive today. They took a loooong trip! Dec.5 their time, they took 11 hours train to beijing, then Dec.6, they will take 11 and half hours UA first, then 4 hours Continental, and another 1 and half hour Continental to Lubbock. So they will arrive on Dec.6 too. We are looking forward to seeing them. It's pity that I still couldn't say exactly "laolao" and "laoye"yet. I hope that when I see them, I could!

After about two weeks researching for a new car, today, we finally got one--Kia Rondo. We like it. It will be big enough for my family--my parents, didi and me,plus my Laolao and Laoye. The color is what Dad likes. Mom likes its function. As to me, I will give my comment later. haha..
